Mr. Leon Howell (aka "Pops") resides in Garner. He was stationed on the USS Vega and is a Pearl Harbor survivor. On March 31, members of Garner VFW Post 10225 and it’s Auxiliary, along with the American Legion Riders Post 232 Garner, American Infidels Veterans Motorcycle Club, and “Pops” joined together in celebrating Mr. Howell‘s 99th birthday. What apleasure it was for us all!
